The First-Ever AWS Adriatic User Groups Meetup

By Hristina Spasovska News

Last week, on June 2, the first regional online AWS Adriatic User Groups Meetup took place.

The Meetup was organised by the regional AWS communities and was streamed via the Twitch platform.

Given the interest shown by the large number of AWS enthusiasts that attended, the webinar was a great initiative and a huge success.

Some of the topics that were covered were the novelties in the AWS & cloud technology world, the overall AWS certification process, some tips and tricks – and most importantly – the personal experience of some of the best regional AWS experts.

Alite International at the AWS Meetup

One of the speakers was Alite International’s Solution Architect, Marin Radjenovic. He had the opportunity to be part of this amazing Meetup and talk more about the AWS certifications

He started by sharing his experience on receiving his first AWS certificate – Solution Architect – after which the next two followed – AWS Developer and SysOps Administrator.

Further on, he elaborated his previous experience with AWS and how these certifications have enabled him to become even more familiar with all AWS services and what they have to offer. Knowing the services profoundly has enabled Marin to deliver impeccable solutions way more effectively.

To encourage participants even more, Marin shared some of the training platforms that have helped him challenge the certifications more easily. Some of those platforms are: A Cloud Guru, Udemy, Linux Academy, etc.

All these platforms have proven quite useful for preparing participants with the routine to pass the certification exams. As Marin says, “the questions and answers on the tests can be quite challenging to conquer at the given time, so having the routine for it helped me go through them quickly and create the concept more effectively and timely.

Different Certificates

Comparing the Professional Certification from the Associate, Marin explained what is making the actual difference.

“The Associate Certification demands that you only know the product itself and what its services have to offer. The Professional Certification, on the other hand, is totally different. It requires that you already have some experience in the field. Also, the examination process is more complex. You need a lot of time to process the questions and answers and to choose the correct one among a bunch of similar options.”

Final Thoughts

Alite International already has 5 AWS Recognitions: Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudFront and IoT Core and we are looking forward to expanding this successful collaboration even more.

We are very honoured that one of our AWS experts was a part of such an event. We hope that many more Meetups like this one will take place in the near future and that our AWS experts will be there to share the knowledge and inspire.
