GurYou – Wellness Community
Transforming Wellness with AI and ML
Problem Definition
The GurYou application – specifically designed for Wellness B2B and B2C – was initially developed and hosted on-premises using technologies like WordPress. So, there were a few issues that needed approaching.
The user experience for businesses, on one hand, and end-users, on the other hand, was different. In addition, the data was stored on separate solutions and was therefore not unified and scalable (preventing the opportunity for a single view of the business).
Proposed Solution

What we decided to do is to move to a cloud-native application. This way we unified the backend and data, setting the foundation for a scalable application. Now, the user database is unified for both businesses and end-users. We are currently moving it towards a microservice architecture, so it’s ready to scale.
Furthermore, we moved the front-end to a mono-repo application to React. We did this for all platforms: the business platform (named You Deal), the user platform (named You Feel), and the mobile apps (You Deal and You Feel).
As a result, new innovative services like video on demand or video streaming are easily integrated for B2C and B2B. Also, payment integration is now common for B2B and B2C.
Some of the AWS services that were used along the process are: S3, Route53, CloudFront, EC2, API Gateway, Lambda, and Elemental.
Outcomes of the Project
The benefits of the project are numerous. To name a few, we have not only optimised the future developments efforts but have also drastically improved the overall user & digital experience for both businesses and consumers.

Furthermore, we have managed to use the video streaming technology for Business to Consumers, and also create a B2B marketplace (where brands can deliver video training to businesses with ease).
Finally, by implementing the above-mentioned solutions, we have enabled users to have a real-time overview of the availability of trainers, classes, and membership options. Also, they are able to track each set of exercise more effectively and have better feedback at their progress.
Trainers, on the other hand, have an enhanced overview of their schedules and the number of memberships. Now, they can easily manage the progress of the clients and have better control over the premises.
